The dies were cut in 1868 and sold to Kline in 1872. As of 2002, they were owned by Stacks.

Bolen struck 14 examples in Brass. Kline also struck a few examples in this metal. It is fairly easy to tell the restrikes from the originals. The originals are 2.2 to 3.0 mm thick. The restrikes are only 1.5 to 2.0 mm in thickness.

A thick Bolen original in Uncirculated condition sold for $460 in the January 2011 Stacks auction, lot 6637.
