Mule JAB M/E-01 ARSENAL SUN / ARSENAL NO SUN Silver
28mm - Unknown number struck

This variety consists of the obverse of JAB-3 muled with the obverse of JAB-4. Both dies were cut in 1862. They were sold to Mason, to Edwards, to Cogan, to Chapmans and currently are in the ANS collection.

The piece is extremely rare. I only have record of three pieces offered for sale in the past 30 years. An MS-63 example sold for $700 in the June 2013 Hayden sale, lot 984. It was slabbed by NGC as a MS-65 and has been recently offered on EBAY with an asking price of $2500.
