JAB-30 LIBERTAS AMERICANA / 1869 STORECARD Tin
25mm - Three struck

Both dies were cut in 1867. The Libertas Americana die was sold to Kline in 1872. Bolen destroyed the die with his bust.

Bolen states he struck one example in his 1905 reference work. Three are listed as having been struck an the 1868 American Journal of Numismatics article. The higher figure would appear to be true. There is an example in the Massachusetts Historical Society collection. The piece pictured appeared in a 1990 Kirtley auction and more recently in the January 2016 Hayden auction, lot 689. It's fair to assume that a third example exists.
