JAB-11 Washington's Letter to Hamilton Medal Tin #1
59mm - 14 Struck in Tin

This is Bolen's largest Medal. The dies were cut in 1864. They were sold to Frank S. Edwards in 1865, but are believed to have been ruined by rust before any restrikes were made. The auction record would back up the fact that there are probably 14 or fewer Tin examples in existence.

In a June 2011 auction, Stacks sold a XF example for $1438, lot 29.
