JAB-14 WASHINGTON-FATHER OF OUR COUNTRY - Brass
28mm - Plain edge
B0th dies were cut in 1864 and sold to A, Ramsey McCoy. They were extensively muled. This piece is thick and was undoubtedly one of the two stuck by Bolen. Musante states that there is one in the ANS collection edge lettered "B 1 in Copper". This must be the second one and is probably the only Brass example available to the collecting public. Please know that Bolen was color blind and frequently confused brass and copper pieces.
