1850 General Tom Thumb Gold Gilt by Messer Allen & Moore
 Victoria Regina on one side and General Tom Thumb  4 gms 22mm gold gilt bronze 

BHM #2231 Rarity "R" RARE in bronze for the year 1846, none listed in gilt gold for 1850. Under magnification it is obvious that the 50 part of the  date 1850 has been overstamped on the original dies before minting. Another 1850 stamp can be see upper right shifted from the date as seen in this photo.
